Mounsef successfully defended his doctoral thesis on April 11th.
We warmly congratulate Dr Mounsef Lahboubi on the successful defense of his doctoral thesis entitled “An Experimental and Computational Study of Multidentate Halogen Bonding Receptors.”
Mounsef has been a valued teaching assistant at the Faculty of Science for the past six years. His research, supervised by Prof. Nathalie Vaeck (Squares) and Kristin Bartik (EMNS), focused on the development of novel platform-based multidentate halogen bonding receptors for anion binding.
Combining both experimental and computational approaches, Mounsef synthesized new halogen bonding receptors and designed a computational methodology to study and predict their binding strength.
We wish Dr. Mounsef all the best for the next steps in his career!
