Over the past months, our laboratory has had the pleasure of welcoming several visiting researchers as part of international collaborations fostered by the LUCES COST Action. These research stays have strengthened scientific exchange and opened new perspectives for joint projects.
Within the framework of the Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSM) awarded by the LUCES COST Action, we hosted Ms Deepshikha Priyadarshini (Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland) for a two-month stay with Prof. Kristin Bartik, working on anion recognition by resorcinarene macrocycles in micellar media.
We also welcomed Dr Alexander Oshchepkov (Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany) for one month on a STSM Grant. His research, conducted in collaboration with Dr Hennie Valkenier, focused on the preparation and characterization of liposome-based systems, the investigation of anion (phosphate, sulfate, chloride) transport, and the evaluation of nucleotide transport.
Finally, we were delighted to host Dr Emina Mehić (Ruđer Bošković Institute, Zagreb, Croatia) we met during a previous LUCES Training School, who joined our group to pursue collaborative work with Prof. Bartik and Dr De Leener studying by NMR the aggregation properties of designer amphiphile molecules .
We warmly thank all visiting researchers for their contributions and enthusiasm, and we look forward to further collaborations within the COST network!
