I obtained my BSc's degree in Chemistry and my MSc's degree in Chemistry (Organic and Biomolecular) in May 2020 at the University of Rome Sapienza. My master thesis, entitled "Functionalization of gold nanoparticles with supramolecular receptors for sensing applications", was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Antonella Dalla Cort in collaboration with the EMNS research group at ULB.
In November 2020 I obtained a PhD scholarship in Chemical Sciences at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", under the supervision of Prof. Antonella Dalla Cort from Sapienza and Prof. Gilles Bruylants from ULB.

Research interests

My PhD work is focused on the synthesis and characterization of supramolecular receptors for dicarboxylate anions able to work in aqueous environment.
The aim of this project is to develop a method for the transport of Zn(II)-salophen complexes, known to have great affinities towards anions, in water based on the grafting of these receptors on gold nanoparticles.
